Birthday time!!

Saturday. I have to wake up early for one reason and one reason only. It was my little sister's birthday! She was turning 8 and she is really excited. In the morning she woke and nga, my mum, and I wait patiently for the rest of my family to wake up. When they finally did we opened her presents, they were mostly toys. We had pancakes, strawberries and chocolate fountain for breakfast. I then went to play tennis. I won my doubles and lost my singles.
When I got home nga and mum had gone to guitar lessons, so my dad and I tidied our house. When the birthday girl got back we prepared for the party, I wrapped the pass the parcel, helped with the cake and did many other things. We went to Flip City. We jumped around for a hour and then went into the party room called a glow room.
The glow room is a dark room with a single white light. There was writing in the table that said... Happy 8th birthday Ngataria. On the wall it says happy birthday! When you turn off the white light you can choose to have a purple light or no light at all. When you have the purple light on it illuminates the writing and it glows. We put some of the chalk on our faces so we glowed too. Also our white tops glowed. We played games and ate.
When we went home we got ready for we were going to the speedway. With warm clothes and food we headed to the track. We got covered in mud. Not everything went to the shedule so it ran a bit late. When the fireworks started I had earmuffs on but in the end I found out that I didn't need it. I was amazing!! We watched the derby and it was sooooo funny! There was this one car that was orange and had this funny honk I think like from a video game or movie.  When going home everyone had dragging feet. We got home and nga kept on saying sleepily "This was the best birthday ever. "
Also on Sunday I went to the gala and worked from 11-4 and performed in Kapa Haka.
Did you go to the Gala? If so what was your favourite thing. I will love to hear from you guys.
Anyway I have probably said enough.
See you next time.
